My husband and I stayed on the island of Brac, a short ferry ride from Split, for a week in August 2009. Hot and beautiful, warm water, wild fig trees at the side of the road, fresh fish at the restaurants. It was pretty mellow and quiet - good for relaxation and reading a book, not good for wild parties. more
We went with my husband to Milna, 45 minutes from Split by ferry. Milna is a kind of pacefull harbour in Brac island in front of Split. Milna is a beatiful harbor in Croatia, specifically in Brac island (40 minutes from Split). A wonderful destination for vacation (families, couples, old people, honeymoon) and people who loves sailing, scuba diving and swimming in crystal waters. The town has narrow and romantic streets . Brac is not the most popular Croatian Island. We were on a time crunch and couldnt go to Hwar (starigrad), so we opted to go to Brac instead to meet our schedule. It was so beautiful.
