What I always enjoy about this street is how you can stop anywhere and look up or down the street and see both the Silver (East) gate and Iron (West) gate as well as an 11thC belltower above the Iron gate, Renaissance palaces, 18th, 19th and 20thC buildings all in a single sweep!
