The Marjan Hill dominates Split and is a pleasant place to spend a couple of hours walking; there are wonderful views over Split and the islands, several small chapels and hermit caves and the scent of the pine trees and wild flowers is lovely. The main paths are wide and signposts point you towards various places of interest or you... more

I am always for the free things to do in a city. Free and a bit of exercise to climb the hill up Marjan. The stairs are numerous so being in good shape or good attitude helps. There are several stop off points, one with a lovely terrace caffe/bar. The views are amazing with the lush greenery and the harbor... more
