If you want a break from the busy streets of Dubrovnik, you must go to Lokrum. It is an oasis. We took a full-day tour with Adriatic Kayak Tours. The gorgeous island of island just 15min by boat from Dubrovnik old town - now 40 Kuna each - and it is the perfect place to hide from the cruise ship crowds!!! Worth a visit if you have time to spare, or if you only have time to visit one of the islands near Dubrovnik. We pretty much covered Lokrum in about two and a half hours. However, there are plenty of places to sunbathe or swim if you want to spend more time. The ferry ticket has a map on it,... more

If you find yourself in Dubrovnik you HAVE TO go to Lokrum island for the day. It's only a 15 minute boat trip from the old town harbour to this beautiful island.
