It was so high, the drops so great, that I had difficulty getting around, but the walk of the walls around Dubrovnik Old Town is an experience to remember....wonderful sights, a great way to experience and feel the history of this perfect mediaeval walled town and harbour. Romantic too, and so well maintained and clean and beautiful. Could be DisneyWorld... more

The Old Town of Dubrovnik is the perfect 1 day stop for a port of call while cruising the Mediterranean. It is an absolutely gorgeous town to photograph and it's just about the prefect size for walking around for a day. My wife and I walked the walls, stopped in at Cafe Buzo for some drinks and a swim, ate... more

Enter in and explore, whatever direction you take thereafter you will find a restaurant tucked up a tiny side street, there are also the larger restaurants too. Shops are mostly souvineer shops & there are also quite a few jewellery shops. The franciscan Monastery is quaint but smaller than we thought but note the pharmacy is closed on Sundays. I... more

You don't really do anything but walk around and look at the amazing architecture, fountains and statues. The walls were closed during my visit, but the scenes were really good. We did get a bit lost, but the people are nice and relaxed. more

I visited with my siste rand daughter in May of 2007. We stayed in a private home in Old town for about 8 days and later continued north to Trogir. Old Town was wonderful. Great sites, beautiful old buildings, very friendly people, great weather, and more. The only negative I can think of is the aggressiveness of some of the... more

How could you not fall in love with such a beautiful place? Scenery is amazing, especially if seen from the City Walls. Lots of steps to climb to get up there, so not recommended at the hottest part of the day! I loved the marble paved walkways (The Old Town is a pedenstrian-ised area). Very touristy, but then, we were... more

There isn't much to see in Dubrovnik overall - a monastry, a palace, a few shops, a long wall blah blah. Place is really boring overall, I was hoping for more history, but the people are friendly, I'll give them that. more

My Partner and I (two weary travellers) arrived at dusk, having been dropped off at the Old Town gates by the bus from the airport. Armed with a map of the Old Town we were anxious, as anyone is, to find our apartment. We stepped across the wooden drawbridge, past the two uniformed sentries and down the polished sandstone steps... more

Dubrovnik in one word breathtaking. I recently toured Croatia for a month and spent a good amount of time on Dubrovnik. I'm a college kid but wheter your 5 or 75 you would have a great time in Dubrovnik there was plenty to see and do. In the Old City it seems at first that it's not as glamourous as... more
