A good place to watch the boats and the world go by
The harbour is beautiful, there are lots of boat trips that leave from here that do the three island tour, a "fish picnic" and glass boat trips. Definitely grab some ice cream from the stand by the restaurants and head around to the top the of the harbour to chill out and watch the sea
We walked half way around the city walls and exited at the harbor to catch a ferry to Lokrum Island. The harbor was really neat with the city walls rising on one side and the boats and sea on the other.
It was really interesting place to pause and catch your breathe, and watch the people as they hopped on...

Lots to see, many boats and liners, places to sit. Could have been tidier in the shopping area.
The waves were high when we visited but it was spectacular. To walk along it required some deft footwork between the waves. Loved it.
An interesting place to watch the cruise ships disgorging their occupants. A boat ride around the bay is a lovely way to while away an hour.
The harbour is a hive of activity. Lovely to walk round and watch life passing by.
Perfect for watching boats, fish, and enjoying ice cream
Small but well organised for tours to islands -- Lokrum, 3-island. Restaurants here have good sea views.
The cafes are nice around the harbour and it's only a 5 minute walk to get around to the end of the castle walls to talk nice photos. The floating rubbish everywhere is a sign of how crowded the place is.
