This is very unique sightseeing which is 20 min driving from Sevastopol. Very properly renovated old city where you can spend around 2-3 hours .I recommend you to try eating "Cigborek" which is very famous and you can find almost everywhere .

I was here as part of a ship's tour on a Black Sea cruise and the drive out to see it was a nice change from the usual local/near the port shorex. The building and grounds are very lovely. The tiles and mosiacs have been maintained very well and you really do get the feeling of how it was like... More

It's must see when you are in Crimea because it's big part of history of this area. This was home for Khans, who ruled Crimean Khanate. You can get inside into many rooms and see many expositions about their history. Apart of palace it's also interesting to see Bakhchisaray which seems to be main center of the Crimean Tatars.

the Palace is wonderful, located in the center of the city (about 20,000 citizens). Well renovated. staff museum is friendly to visitors. I also suggest to visit Tatar restaurant 'Cafe Ali', very close to the Palace - good food with v.reasonable prices

On the weekend there are a lot of weddings that happen here. It is an interesting place and there are a lot of photo opportunities in this place. I even did a small video there. It is strange to me that you have to pay more for pictures and videos. Before going I would read up on the history of... More

Well preserved historical museum with courtyards, harems, and fountains. Many of the rooms have been restored with period furnishings. Best seen with a guided tour to provide background on meaning of the art works and fountains. Lots of trees to provide respite from the heat. Clean restrooms. Several miles from Sevastopol and not easy to find, so probably best to... More
