The old town is full of brightly coloured historic Bulgarian homes and buildings. They are (just recently) starting to restore a large part of the buildings. There are loads of historic homes, museums, art galleries and antique shops to browse through. Small narrow cobble streets makes it very picturesque as well. The crowning glory is the Roman ruins.
