This spring was the first time I went to "Pobiti Kamani" / Petrified Forest as an adult. I'm surpried how difficult it would be for a non-native to find the place, since there's no signage in English. Will ask my dad which road it is west of Varna and post it. It's a truly marvelous place which you can explore... more

The Petrified Forest was an interesting natural phenomenon. Lovely to walk around and we would have stayed longer except it was exceptionally hot and we couldn't stand it for too long - and this was in May. more
