We walked around when nobody was there and we loved it. We took some amazing pictures. It's just a lovely place.

Few km outside the city, worth visiting before doing other stuff in Varna and Golden Sands expecially in a nice day!

This spring was the first time I went to "Pobiti Kamani" / Petrified Forest as an adult. I'm surpried how difficult it would be for a non-native to find the place, since there's no signage in English. Will ask my dad which road it is west of Varna and post it.
It's a truly marvelous place which you can explore...

The Petrified Forest was an interesting natural phenomenon. Lovely to walk around and we would have stayed longer except it was exceptionally hot and we couldn't stand it for too long - and this was in May.
