Piata Mare is a beautiful large square. During the summer there is a fountain in the middle that seems to entrance kids, and a few adults. Great fun to sit at a cafe or on the benches in the square and watch the kids and pigeons play.

I loved the square so much I had to take the whole family back this orthodox Easter to experience the ambiance again. Looking down from the Saxon Era Evangelical Church's tower you have an amazing view of the square and beyond.

It is the center of a city that practically has the same configuration as some 4 or 5 centuries ago. There used to be places like this in Germany or Austria centuries ago but they disappeared. This square has the most beautiful architecture. The stone pavement is beautiful in itself. Great photo opportunities!
