For all those who are absorbed by history it's a must. Unfunded and outdated it still is a very authentic place to visit. The soul of the city.
If you want to take o moment back in history, before the Iphone :) Old documents and books, the old furniture where the pupils were learning and a good guide to tell the stories
Visited this place during my stay, it was an interesting visit, but doesn't take very long.
This is a very small building, the priest was very proud of the building and its history. Set in a quiet part of Brasov, I first visited it in 1992, and you may still see my comments in the visitor book if it is still there.
Small place, but with many stories to be told. The guide is the museum's director and curator himself, always willing to share the knowledge with his visitors.
We visited this as part of the Brasov free walking tour. It was an interesting stop enroute.
I was very impressed by the First Romanian School found in Brasov. It was built in 1495 and there were published by Coresi the first Romanian books. Valuable manuscripts for Romanian history can be found in the musem. Also there is an old "tiparnita" - printing machine - and one classroom, maintained as it was in aproximately 1850.
