Bran Castle is a dissapointment. Small, uninteresting and not much to offer. In all anticipation it became a short sighseeing trip to this "famous" place. Having a personal guide fill you in on the real history doesn't do this place any good. What irked me most is that, unless you pay, you are not entitled to take pictures or film. more

This is a beautiful Castle but the locals have yet to grab its potential as a tourist spot. It is one of the most important sites in the country yet they do not realise this. Dracula's castle was quite an experience. We went in March, which is freezing. It's a bit colder than March in New York. The castle itself is quite large with many nooks and crannys to see.
