We spent 5 days in Danube Delta and chose for our stay the village Murighiol, that is accessible by car and pretty central in the Danube Delta, located on the southern "arm" of the Danube. I was in Danube Delta by the end of March 2008 and the worst thing was that we froze due to the cold and rainy weather. The Village was too quiet and with almost no touristic offer, nevertheless we achieved to rent a boat and overnighted there. We saw some fauna (birds) and tried to fish but had no luck...... more

The area around the Danube Delta should be declared an “outstanding beauty.” My hosts seemed to know exactly what were the right things for me to do. On this occasion they had hired a boat, and off we went, for twelve hours with the wildlife. We cruised for miles without seeing another soul. Our only company was the wild birds... more

Portita is a peninsula from which the Danube Delta joins the Black Sea. My hosts had decided that we should spend three nights there. belive me i've been to romania, to danube delta and i can say ... uauuu. it's great, unique. u can see the danube, the black sea, macin mountains all in 120 miles area. more
