The mosque is very old one, it's located in Alex west, very famous with its builder name, you will smell place fragrant and you will find the heart of Islam

Mansheya in general or (anfushi) is a great place to walk in. preferrably before dark. or during fridays after 3esha prayer (last night prayer around 7.00 pm). sometimes you can have el mouled around (games for kids and clowns playing with fire, etc) and sometimes you can find it empty. Very nice architecture Islamic design , but be attention to street vendors their and keep in mind that you are in a local area , conservative clothes recommended for this visit .

This is a nice piece of architecture. Both the outside and the inside have elaborated design and are a joy to watch. Me, my wife and our local guide had no problem entering the mosque but on the contrary were welcomed inside. Local women were however in their own part of the mosque. Photos allowed.

This mosque is in the middle of Alexandria and is incredibly beautiful! The only drawback is that women are not allowed inside the mosque proper and can only view it from a back room (and separate entrance).
