It was very clean, pretty cheap and had excellent views over the port, medina and a lot of Sousse. Added to that we basically had it to ourselves! Steps are very narrow and dar kin some places though

Fascinating history in a very well preserved and restored building. This old monastry and fortress is certainly worth a visit, for the fantastic view of Sousse from the top of the tower if nothing else!

Just inside the main entrance is an explanation of what the building is all about. I loved the fact that there is no 'Health and Safety ' here at all. You can climb up the walls and a very tall tower and there are no barriers or signs telling you not to fall over the edge. There is a huge... More

Approx £2 to visit. Great views but not for people with bad knees as there are steps to climb. Well worth the money.

This was interesting with lots of historical information & pictures displayed around, cave like rooms within the walls & a great view from the upper floor & tower.

Definitely worth a look. Amazing architecture and is right in the middle of the Medina so easy to find and nice to look at. You will probably by now be used to the pushy shop keepers and men trying to get money out of you whatever way they can - my only advice is if you aren't interested - be... More

When we went to see the Ribat, no-one was allowed inside. We walked around the outside and blagged our way in through a side entrance. An Italian film company had taken over the place to make a movie called "Maria". The story of the mother of Christ. The whole place was filled with camels, goats, cockerels and hens, slaughtered cows,... More
