A well run cooking course, where one learns how to make true Laos food. A worthwhile experience, where you learn to make about 6 dishes yourself, and then get to eat it all...Yummy! Better yet, its run in a gorgeous lush environment out of town, where they take you, after going on a local market visit.
We enjoyed this day-long cooking course. The instructor was funny, we learned a lot, and ate delicious food.
You arrive in a little piece of paradise in the mountains to cook in the the outdoors - fantastic place, great teacher and yummie food afterwards- loved going o the market and getting bizarre things demystified then off in a tuk tuk to arrive at the school and learn how to use all these ingredients - fantastic bit of culture...

He started us with a tour of the market - so glad to go with a local as it is overwhelming to my...

Visit to the markets followed by a morning cooking delicious Lao food which we ate for lunch. Cooking instructor was excellent and a real comedian. Cooking school is a few kms out of town, and a beautiful venue - loved the day!

We each had a table for prep, and then cooked over traditional stoves fueled by charcoal. Out of the five dishes we made, three were supposed...

Visit the market with the teacher, buy stuff that you need, and cook! Very nice!

Well run from the beginning. Owner/Chef Joy took us on an informative tour of the markets with sampling of many unusal snacks. Then a few kilometres out of town to their beautiful setting. Well organised with plenty of equipment, charcoal stoves and lots of helpful staff. Joy was a great teacher with a nice sence of humour. We prepared and...
