We were in LuangPrabang in mid-April, 2009. While there, we booked a "5-hour" trip to Kuangsi Falls (recommended; be sure to take your swimwear, towel, and PROTECTIVE footwear -- the bottom is very stony!). We went in July 2008. Since there were just two of us traveling we heard that the cheapest way to get there is to arrange a tuktuk through an agency. Laos Discovery Tours seemed the cheapest at the time. 30,000kip per person. All groups seem to only offer afternoon trips. Leave at 1:30 and leave falls at 4:30. I had... more

Less than 1 hour's drive from Luang Prabang, a very pretty outing. Good for kids to have some fun. It is also possiblet o have a catered picnic near the falls, delicious. And there are as usual markets, near the entrance to the park, where local textiles and crafts can be bought too. more
