You might need a deep wallet,but there are bargains to be had,great restaurants, everywhere is SO clean,customer servive second to none.

The Emirate towers when i first moved to dubai in 1999 was the place to go. now its just gone downhill, unless you go into the business tower to the noodle bar. Apart from there thats the only good place

had a day pass to the towers - super pool, not too busy, decent food / drinks service; terrace bar afterwards. Able to get full change & shower at end of day. Dubai hotels invariably offer day tickets - this one is not on beach but lovely setting & easy accessible on Metro if you prefer this to taxi

Well worth a visit the bar on the top floor has an amazing view of Dubai, but the drinks are very expensive!

Take an aabra (water taxi), pay one dirham and cross the creek from Deira to Bur. Here a lot of little shops, full of handicrafts, souvenirs etc await you. Go further, cross the little bazaar and you can find herbs, spices and dry fruit which are cheap and it gives you a nice cultural experience too.
