Take the abra from the Bastakiya side, look around the textile souk and the art galleries, and end in the gold souk. Used by 15-20 million passengers each year, the Abra Dock in Bur Dubai is a memorable cruise in the water. « less

The souk is great, have fun haggling, the abra boat service across the creek is brilliant, hop on and off you go, we had a pram and baby and it was no prob. The driver even let our son jump into the driver pit and have a go, excellent considering 1 year olds are not the best drivers!!

This is a great place to get a feel for how Dubai was years ago. The Abra's operate 24 hours a day for 1 dirham. There are 3 Docks to board in the Bur/Bastika side of the Creek. You can also rent your own Abra for an hour for about 120 Dirham. A wonderful treat! Go there and ride them,... More

A really cheap and fun way to get across the Dubai creek on the old wooden boats. Only costs 1 Durham! Amazing views of Dubai creek from the abras. Good way to get across to the old Dubai.

The Abra taxis can be taken from the banks of either Bur Dubai or Deira. It is an inexpensive medium of transport. These are the banks where Dubai had begun its destiny to match or in some cases exceed the best in the world.

The hotel grounds are zig zagged with narrow canals and an abra (narrow boat with a driver sitting in the middle) gently sails throug. The architecture imitates old Arabian buildings. It sails past open air theatre, restaurants and shops on the complex as well as provides unobstructed view of the iconic 'sail' building. It is a nice and relaxing 15... More

It costs 1D to cross the water. It's a nice little stroll up to the abra stop from the metro station. Something that you have to do if you fancy a visit to the old part of Dubai. You will be sat on a boat with a lot of Indians going to/from work.
