I visited this quiet a few times. But this time was perfect, as I could see hundreds of beautiful, heavenly Flamingoes! There is a good watchtower to observe the birds, equipped with binoculars. It's free! And you can take as much as photos. Even during offseason (i.e. summer) you could see different birds. I have seen many other/local birds here... More

Tucked away in one corner of Dubai,the Ras Al Khor wildlife Sanctuary is worth a look see mainly for it collection of migratory birds including the much loved Flamingo's

We travelled through africa hoping to see flamingos however we could not get as close as we did at Ras Al Khor Sanctuary

the flamingos are really pretty but apart from that there is not a lot to see.

Great opportunities for photos of these beautiful birds. Not something you would normally associate Dubai with but well worth a visit. Shame we were thrown out for feeding time - not sure why as this would have been great to see. Take your passport as the Sanctory Officers wanted to check them as for some reason they are not too... More

It took a little bit of driving around to locate it, but the sight of thousands of graceful flamingoes making their home in Dubai was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Flamingos and Flamingos... what next.... Unless you have covered everyother highlight in city and is a keen Flamingo bird fan, I dont see any reason to visit.. Of course, you may see couple more variety of bird.

the viewing platforms are clean as typical of Dubai..though not enough binoculars , i suggest you bring your own if you want to enjoy viewing the birds for a long time, unless there is no group after you... the flamingos are a sight to behold...it is worth the trip..
