Satwa is just a small portion of Dubai. You can see Indians, Filipinos, Pakistanis, British here. It's just beside jumeirah, meaning it is close to the beach -- 5 to 10- minute walk to the Jumeirah open beach). They got supermarkets, (for Filipinos , the Philippine Supermarket), have cafeterias where you can just sit and order their best Shawarma prepared... more

The great thing about shopping at Satwa are the half price deals compared to downtown malls, and they are bargain-able. It is good to check from store to store to compare the prices, and the stores are all near each other within 5-8 blocks. The satwa district is nice to sit out at in the night and have a nice bit of food and smell the beautiful arabic shisa and wacth high class cars whizzing by.I really like the Satwa distrist.And after you've finished your dinner you can take a walk around some of the small shops.Everyone loves it there because i live in... more
