A friend and I traveled to the Omaha area to visit this museum and were not disappointed. Their collection of aircraft is not large, but they have all of the important ones from the cold war. The B-36 and B-58 were two of my favorites - and there are very, very few left anywhere, so this was a real treat!... More

We had a day at leisure before we were leaving Nebraska and decided to visit the Air and Space Museum located at Ashland. It has a pretty large collection of aircrafts. The free tour was conducted by retired volunteer airmen. They are very knowledgable about the air planes on display. We were impressed with its collection and detail description of... More

If you like airplanes, spacecraft and history, this is a must see. The docent who was extraordinarily knowledgeable was an 86 year old ex-bombardier who was a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam who led a fascinating tour. The planes are the real thing, the exhibits fascinating and you get very close to the planes. As an aside, there is... More

This museum packed with full sized air and space craft plus other interesting exhibits is well worth a visit, if you're in the Omaha area.

Overall a great museum, good to walk around and see the historic planes and all the history. Wish you could get a little more hands on with some of them and see more inside but then again it is a museum and not a playground.

Delightful elderly volunteer named Ev that gives a detailed and pleasant tour of planes and their histories at 11am. Ride simulators were a blast for my teens. Several hands on areas for children. Great traveling display on meteors.
