Go in the morning, as it can get very hot in the afternoon, and not much shade. It's great to have a tour guide, as there is much to be explained, but you can also roam freely on your own if its history is not of interest. Take water and a good hat. The climb of the center temple, the... More

It's hard for me to choose what temple I like the best. They are all so amazing and beautiful. I loved all of the ones we saw. I would recommend a tour guide. We could have easily gotten lost a the bigger ones without one. It was also nice to hear the history about how they were built and why... More

The reason why we went to Siem Reap. I was much looking forward to visiting the main temple (Angkor Wat) and the city (Angkor Thom) and was not disappointed. The structures still standing are magnificent enough to convey the idea of past splendour. The size of the complex is huge. You can easily walk a whole morning just to visit... More

Absolutely awe inspiring place. Be careful of some touts joining you as you walk and try to get you to pay them as a tour guide.

The temples and ruins making up the Angkor Archeological Park are worthy of all the accolades heaped upon them. Profoundly moving and fascinating, the shear scale of the endeavors of craftsmen and labour of centuries ago is incredible. Everyone should see Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and the rest of the park at least once.

My son and I spent 3 day visiting the area in mid May. There is a reason why it's also called the 8th Wonder of the World. Wow! This was our itinerary: 1) Beng Mealea -an hour from Siem Reap. Really different: the jungle ate the temple, here. It's cooler and not very crowded. It's big. We did it in... More
