I think Angkor the artisan silk weaving factory is one of the must see place if you never know how silk and weaving are done. The place is nice and peaceful. The guide who gave us the tour was very informative and the silk products are very nice. The products are more expensive than at the market, however the quality... More

As previous reviews have noted, the quality of the many and varied items for sale at Artisans is superb. We purchased a beautiful, high quality, hand carved stone sculpture. The fact that there are people still out there with these skills is amazing and I feel fortunate to now have a piece in my home!

The Artisan's d'Angkor shop is the outlet for a project that teaches disadvantaged children to become skilled in a whole range of crafts from stone-working to wood-carving to weaving and painting on silk to lacquer work. The tour of the workshops demonstrates just how much work goes into producing the stuff in the shop and twice a day (9.30am and... More

This place is a must visit while in Siem Reap. You can get a guided tour for a donation to the school which includes a visit around the workshops. The art on display for sale in the gift shop at the end is fantastic. You better have the credit card ready!

If you are looking for a place to get authentic art made by Cambodians this is the place. My wife and I read about it while looking for places to purchase Cambodian souvenirs, as we were informed most of the goods sold at the markets and in the stores come from Vietnam and Thailand, and decided to make it a... This is a place where one best understands how rich the culture and arts of cambodia was. After all the years of war and the killing fields, the cambodian people have resurrected their fine arts and crafts, and is a must see place for every tourist. This establishment promotes the revival of stone and wood carving, silver work, silk weaving and...
