This temple is just amazing. It's the one famous for the tomb raider film. The tree roots are so huge it's amazing and it is a fascinating site to see. more

Ta Prohm is seriously my favorite temple in the complex because its hidden in a jungle like setting with trees that kind of eat but try to go early to avoid the huge amounts of tourists. more

Ta Prohm is pleasant to visit because the place is still well shaded by trees. The temple is smaller than seen in Tomb Raider. The presence of tourist controllers is more prevalent here than any other temple, perhaps because of its semi-cleared state. Visited Ta Prohm (or the Tomb Raider temple as many refer to it as) again in August this year. The previous time was March 2007 and it was so packed with people that one hardly had enough time to snap a photo without having someone walk past. Ta Prohm is probably the most atmospheric and funnest temple in the entire Angkor temple group. I had fully experienced the power of nature at Ta Prohm, seeing all these gigantic trees engulfing the buildings.
