Yes, the scenery is lovely, but it is so, so much better down near Yangshou. The boat trip (even if you pay extra for 'luxury') is on one of those hideous dining boats that someone's parents hire for end of school dance - or even more sadly, for weddings. This is a "must" see! Leaving the dock, about 15 boats (doubledeck) meandering slowly in the shallow channels and seeing the wonders of nature transform before you eyes is "magnifico!" The Li river tour boat is very comfortable and in its 2 1/2 hour trip to downstream town, you will see various wonderful landscapes. The 4 hour cruise on Li River down from Guilin to Yangshuo is great though prices are high by local standard - USD55 per head for luxury boat (recommended) and USD35 for regular. 2008年我随团去游了向往已久的桂林漓江，真正身临其境，感觉漓江确实名不虚传，船行江上，三步一景，五步一画，山水相融，真的是陶醉其中，漓江的山不高，但很清秀，每座都独立成峰，漓江的水不深，但很清澈，透过船上的玻璃窗时常可见鱼儿穿梭地水草中，真是秀美漓江，我也不虚此行。 more
