Don't bother is my review. We all thought (2 adults with our 2 boys - 6 & 8) that Dadonghai Here's the link for Google Maps: http://is.gd/4pkRC）was MUCH better. Yalong Bay is super expensive. Entrance is around RMB 130/ person (discounts for medium sized kids or smaller). Then you have to pay to use the restroom. Pay to shower. Pay... more

Yalong bay is technically an area, a stretch of beach where there are plenty of high end hotels. In the public beach area there is just one company offering scuba, snorkeling, fishing, boating, etc. We chose snorkeling, and paid 200RMB each (about $35 USD). But be aware! There is a huge language barrier here! No one can speak english. After... more

I was visiting in March '08 and on the first afternoon there was lots of garbage floating in the water. Made it really gross for swimming. It might have been a weird tide or and off shore garbage dump from a boat as it didn't happen again during the stay. Having said that, the only clean part of the beach... more
