If we did not have the benefit of the tour guide the visit would still have been enjoyable. The view of Wuhan helped orient us to the city and the views are panoramic ....you would have to be a tough judge to discount this site. The snippets shared by the tour guide provided a richer experience which I found informative.... More

If you're in Wuhan, this is THE attraction. I live in Wuhan, so I've seen the tower at least six times, but on a clear day (spring and fall after a rainstorm; avoid the blistering heat and pollution of the summer), you get very good views of the river, Hankao, and Wuchang regions of Wuhan. Good walking paths too. One... More

Seen from the road this old tower dominates the background. It's easy access with some walking to the base. The views from the tower across the landscaped grounds are beautiful. There is an old shrine on the grounds and in all it's time well spent.

Rebuilt of historic site only. Not particularly interesting. But next door to it is the Historic Museum. Can combine two sites in a trip.

Wonderful view. Overlooking the Yangtze River, the Yellow Crane Pagode (Huang He Lou) is located on Snake Hill in Wuhan. It is one of the "There Famous Towers" south of Yangtze. It has a beautiful garden park and a shopping promenade. To me, the highlight the complex is the magnificently landscaped multi-terraced park surrouding the tower. Amazing! There are unique... More

It's not extraordinary as there is many similar building all around China.I would say that if you are living in Wuhan, yes you must go there once, but it's not the place you will return often. Expensive entrance fee, you can make shoot from outside view. One of the main building historic in Wuhan but lost in the middle of... More

The "yellow crane tower" are is really a fairly recent replication of a much older tower. The park area has some interesting buildings and is well landscaped. From the top of the tower you have a good view of the river and over Wuhan. There is an interesting shop on the premises that sells older communist memorabilia such as Mao's... More

Yellow Crane Tower is worth a visit, even with small children. Although the air quality in Wuhan is less than ideal, the tower has magnificent murals covering 3/4 of a large room and much traditional artwork on every level. Yes there are many stairs, but no one says you have to climb them in one go. The pathways and atmosphere... More
