Make sure you go on the cruise as there are many interesting things to see with the side trips and the boat trip was a great way to relax on the trip

Not to be missed. The history and culture of these gorges must be experienced by boat. Some of the prettiest sights I have ever seen!

The Yangtze Gold 1 cruise from Yichang took a leisurely 3 days to travel upstream to Chongqing. The ship is relatively new and thus well furnished, with a small balcony where you can sit and enjoy the passing scenery. Spectacular but you have to get up early as the ship passes the gorges or you just wasted your money.....that is the whole purpose of the cruise.
