I was impressed very much with the Suzhou Museum. Afer a long, hot day, we decided to go here because...well...it was air conditioned. The visit to the museum was the highlight of our trip to Suzhou. It is modern Chinese architecture at its best. The garden is simple and elegant, capturing all the beauty and essence of Chinese aesthetic, indeed a place for contemplation on a quiet day. Just returned from China. While in Suzhou we visited the new, I.M. Pei designed Suzhou Museum. We were there 2 weeks after the Oct 8th grand opening.
