It was such a wonderful experience to see the panda's in their own environment make sure you get there early lots of tourists & after they feed them they go to sleep. Get your photo taken with a baby it costs 1300rmb you need your own camera its really a donation to the foundation well worth the visit

Loved this. Lots of Panda's to see, in various environments. Hugging the baby Panda while expensive ('donations' @ 1,300 RMB), is well worth it. get there early (0830-0900) to avoid the crowds!

This is a must-see even if you've got a pretty tight schedule in Chengdu. Better get there earlier to avoid tour groups. If you decide to leave by taxi, be sure to check the number plate. (The registration number of local taxis should start with "川A“ so if it is a ”川B”, "川Z" or whatever else it must be illegal... More

I must wake up at 6 am, bargaining with taxi driver, and take 1 hour trip (because of morning traffic jam) but become a wittiness of a cute but giant animal that I ever see was fascinating experience. A place is tide and manage well instead of seeing Panda, you can also see a black and white swan in a... More

Get there earlier in the am as they bring out a panda and you may have your picture taken with it. It lasts only one hour and you must be there early to have one taken.

The Panda Sanctuary is easy to get to via taxi, and its a great experience just observing the adult and baby panda's. You do have an opportunity to hold a Panda for roughly 100 GBP which is reinvested into the sanctuary. I did this and thought it was worth every penny. Word of warning, they don't have ATM's on site,... More

All the other reviews are accurate, but as of Jan 2012, the price to hold a panda has gone up to 1,300 RNB (~$200 USD). Also, I don't think there is a price difference between adult or baby panda. I know people who paid the 1000 RNB (before the price hike) and got a big panda, and others who paid... More

As you wander around this park you will find several areas with panda's. The (cute) animals seem to have a reasonable living space. The facilities in this park are excellent. Staff speaks English and you will find a big choice in western food. Be there early in the morning (shortly after opening) to avoid tour groups.

It was amazing to see so many pandas up close, and to have the chance to hold one! I was happy to see that the facility was very strict about visitors covering themselves in plastic to protect the pandas, as well as prohibiting photography of sensitive baby pandas. Seemed to be quite a responsible operation. Holding the panda was expensive,... More
