Get there earlier in the am as they bring out a panda and you may have your picture taken with it. It lasts only one hour and you must be there early to have one taken.

The Panda Sanctuary is easy to get to via taxi, and its a great experience just observing the adult and baby panda's. All the other reviews are accurate, but as of Jan 2012, the price to hold a panda has gone up to 1,300 RNB (~$200 USD). Also, I don't think there is a price difference between adult or baby panda. As you wander around this park you will find several areas with panda's. The (cute) animals seem to have a reasonable living space. The facilities in this park are excellent. Staff speaks English and you will find a big choice in western food. Be there early in the morning (shortly after opening) to avoid tour groups.

It was amazing to see so many pandas up close, and to have the chance to hold one!
