A blast from the past. Many photos and artifacts about AC. Even a documentary on the past to present. Take your time and enjoy the history that this museum has to offer.

Now that I can review the Garden Pier again, I want to add this info. The free parking on the dirt lot next to Showboat by the boardwalk is only free during museum hours [10am~4pm]. YOU WILL GET TOWED IF YOU LEAVE YOUR CAR IN THE DIRT LOT AFTER 4pm! I see too many cars getting towed from this lot... More

Please don't be as unlucky as my family. We wanted to spend a fun day in Atlantic City and our trip was ruined because of them. If I learned one thing from this experience, it's that I should warn people about this terrible area. NEVER EVER GO HERE! It may be free but it will NOT be worth your time.

The Garden Pier offers The Atlantic City Historical Museum and the Atlantic City Art Center, both are free and gladly accept donations! There is free parking accross the boardwalk in a dirt lot. It is located on the boardwalk at New Jersey Avenue - next to Showboat. It is a nice respite from the casino & boardwalk crowds and escape... More
