WOW What A Place, They Have EVERYTHING!! Its So Different Compared To The Shops Outside The Hotel Definite Must Do If You Go To Egypt!:)
My first visit to Sharm El Sheik was in 1968, when there was not one building in the whole area!
Just 2 cannons overlooking the Strait and the Suez Canal closed.
Now there is this spread out city of resorts and hotels and a great market. Even though we were there on a Sunday, about one third of the shops...

We thought this would be like the markets in Turkey - boy were we wrong. Nothing but hassle from start to finish and dodging cars at speed through the middle of the place. Stay in the hotel and save the taxi fare.

Liked the atmosphere of place, old and lots to watch if you just stop and watch the passing culture. Couldnt spend too much time there but nice to see.
we went through the day not many tourist about so got hassle non stop and the stall holders were quite rude when we said no not interested. We went back at night when it was busy and with our Reps friend and we didnt get any hassle at all interesting sights and sounds
You can find pretty much everything there! Great place for shopping, eating and smoking waterpipe :) You do get lots of pressure to buy and a lot of barganing to do, but that egypt!
You cant imagine anything that you cant buy in old market, lithely you can get anything and if you cant find what you need on display, they will find it for you. I really recommend do accessories shopping like bags and shoes, scarf, wallets, its really high quality and long lasting and looks great. However be careful with any sort...
