The museum is a bit off of the main road, so if you are going by bus you have about a ten minute walk to get there. There were nice exhibits from the islands including some tikis - don't touch! It is bad luck! The grounds are also nice, and it is close to the water.

Most of the guidebooks have this museum pegged perfectly - while small it is wonderfully laid out with a good flow pattern which starts with the geology of the whole of polynesia, identification of its people and history, historical artifacts and development through history up to modern times. The tiki display is wonderful. All in all, small enough to see...
