I visited this place twice ones with friends and once with family and it was an enjoyable experience both the times. The trek from the base of the fort to the top most part is good and refreshing and the voice communication system from base to the top is fantastic. One needs at least half a day to go through... The best time to visit is in the morning. It is a short hike and not very difficult. If you have time you can experience the Light and Sound show. If you are in the area in the evening mosqutoes are will try to be friendly with you!!

Located around 13 KM away from Hyderabad ..... you need to travel through narrow streets to reach there. Parking is a big Issue Once you enter the Fort - If you admire architecture - its the place to visit. Well Maintained lawns and from the top gives you a panoromic view of the City of Hyderabad. Recently visited the laser & music show. By the time we reached it is already started. But, very good show. Excellent narration & story line. Though maintained well, it still needs care. We have decide to visit it again in a winter season for a full day as we have not visited the place fully.

Take care of your belongings at the entrance to the fort. Expect to pay Rs 100 for foreigners and Rs 5 for Indians. This site has an amazing history so try to arrange a... More

The fort is in ruins, well maintained but there is nothing left of the original structure apart from a few restored buildings.....i was amazed with the fact that people were allowed to carry food inside and a lot of people were making most of it by throwing garbage all over the place...the guards and other authorities were completely ignoring this.

Even with temperature over 40 degrees, it was well worth climbing all those stairs.

we visited the fort in the afternoon.the history of the fort mesmerised us.the local guides are well expert and show you the fort very elaborately.one has to go up and down for around 730 steps.the visit is very much worthy if you value your country's great past.

One of the few ancient forts in India that is really well maintained..Was quite amazed to find the acoustical engineering..Clapping done at the entrance can heard at the top of the fort.. The view over hyderabad is stunning from the top.. More than 300 steep steps are there to reach the top..Take very comfy shoes and water along with you..... More
