I have no idea what is that hype all about. The only thing amazing about the place is that everything from a gold monument to hay stock present there was collected by one man, Salar Jung. If you easily get amazed by seeing some statues or stones from the age of Nawabs, you can spend your whole day there. Rest... More

Salar Jung museum is one of the best and famous museums in India. It consists of most valuable as well as breath taking exhibits. The Veiled Rebecca and the double statue of Mephistopheles and Margaret are the main attractions. However the food court inside the museum is extremely crowded and requires an improvement in the billing system.

Its a very good place to visit but is not all that well maintained. Hyderabad does not have a very great history like Delhi, so don't expect a lot of things from famous people. But the art work and the swords are outstandingly great. Some of the things would amaze you. Overall I had a mixed feeling like OK, but... More

We saw many museums but this represents one of the most magnificent collections of different styles collected in a very good style. Here it will be interesting both to the adult and the child of any level of culture. We will return again in Hyderabad to visit this place again. Magnificent experience!

Priceless collection.. You go back to the history and spellbound by the creativity of artists and sculptors. The statues are marvelous. The signboard announces some are replicas. I wonder how originals looked. I visit this museum on every visit to Hyderabad. Even after so many visits, I go back to Rebecca each time... and fall in love afresh, with the... More

A small sampling of local history. Makes a person realize how short history really is in the US.
