It is such a beautiful place if you are in search of peace. Especially in early morning hours this place is excellent. Though sometimes esp. on weekends you will find many people there but best time to experience the lake is in weekdays early morning and late evening hours

gets really busy on weekends, but weeknights are good for strolling and people watching. Continue all the way to the end for the buddha statue. Also good for jogging

There is no good place to sit here. One can only stroll. Avoid going on Sunday. It is like a fair on Sunday so avoid rush. Only good in morning for walk.

The only water-body the "Chandigarhias" can boast of. The promenade along the lake side is well done. The attractions are fine. Boat-club is good. The geese and mallards are a typical attraction. Eateries are not much to boast of - the City-Administration run stuff is not something to really write home about, but is acceptable.

During my trip to Chandigarh alongwith my kids & spouse we thought to visit Sukhna lake as well. Good time to be at this place is in the evening when its relatively cooler and people around.
