With God's blessings was able to Mata darshan with my two kids. Once you get the darshan it all seems completely worth it. Took the helicopter. It is a 2.5 km walk after you get off the helicopter which is just fine. Though considering the donations that they get things could be much better organised. The officials at the helipad... More

I am focussing my review on only traveller tips as regular info is always available across many websites 1. The fastest and the most convenient mode to reach the shrine is chopper service. But do plan your booking in advance as tickets get sold out a month before. Rs 1400 return fare with VIP Darshan "nothing can beat this". I... More

With Her blessings, we did mataji darshan on the 3rd of May, '12. The whole journey, from the foothills of the Trikurta hills to the top, a long 13 km trek, is indeed an overwhelming experience. I, accompanied by my wife, started the trip on foot at 3 pm and reached Bhawan (that houses the Shrine) at 8-15 pm. After... More

Millions of tourists of faith visit this shrine. But it appears that the systems and facilities put in place are highly inadequate. Just to get a locker to put the stuff not allowed inside the temple, like mobile phone, camera etc we had to stand in queue for 3.5 hours, that too late at night from 1.30 am to 5.00... More

Marked by a long 13 km trek.. which is made comfortable with brilliant road and arrangements.. u can take up a pony ride up or helicopter but trekking is the way to enjoy it.. with people chanting praises of shrine.. and even if u have to wait in queue for hours at the top ... its totally worth the wait

I've been to Vaishno devi more than 10 times.. I simply find this place amazing. The peace under the divine hand of Goddess Vaishno is the thing I always look for. There is Helicopter service but if you are fit, try to walk.. The amazing beauty which you will witness while walking cannot be compared. The enthusiasm of fellow travelers... More

Vaishno Devi is one of the holiest pilgrimages in India. We started our journey for Vaishno Devi from Delhi sarai rohilla by duronto express which is a very nice and clean train although it does not provide food unlike otherduronto express trains. We reached Jammu in the morning by 7 am and from Jammu took a cab to katra which... More
