We found the Mattancherry palace, and in fact the entire Cochin sight-seeing trip a real bore. The palace is quite poorly maintaine, and the paintings and art work seem average. Of course there is some history there and it might interest the real historians. Especially after a trip in Munnar, Thekkady, Kumarakom and Allepey backwaters, this was a let down.... more
