This is a great place for wild life enthusiasts, there are many types of animals and birds that one could find. Arguably the park with highest tiger density in India. We stayed nearby for five days and did six safaris, five in Tala zone and one in Khatauli zone. We saw tiger on day and hundreds of deers, sambars, wild... More

It was a long time back when last I visited Bandhavgarh tiger reserve. My memory from then was "OK, but nothing to write home about". I have since discovered Corbett national park, and for many years now, I have gone only there. I like Corbett because its mostly natural, and as your god intended it to be. Through my many... More

We visited the Bandhavgarh Forest Reserve expecting to glimpse a tiger, since we'd heard that the probability was the highest here. There are reportedly 69 tigers here - almost twice that in other reserves like Pench. Unfortunately, the three days in late January was very foggy and we hardly saw any animals at all, much less a tiger. Also, we... More

We went to bandhavgarh christmas 2011 holiday. It took us three hrs in a decent road from jabalpur. We stayed in mptdc white tiger forest lodge. Excellent facility, they arrange for safari jeeps. However for peak season pls do Internet permit well in advance. We saw tiger in the wild on evening safari and on elephant back on morning safari.... More

We arrange the safari through 'kay' s camp, they provide the accommodation, the food and the transport to the park. The cons... More

I would rate Bandhavgarh as one of the best places to spot a tiger in India. Bandhavgarh has one of the highest concentration of tiger population in India. The park has about 50 tigers in a relatively smaller area compared to other tiger reserves in India. The nearest railhead is Umaria (about 35kms away), but only few trains stop here.... More

This review is not so much about the national park as it is about the timing of our trip. We saved our money to go on a tiger safari and arrange it with a tour company who neglected to inform us that these two weeks are the coldest and foggiest weeks of the year in this area. Imagine our great... More
