We have seen a few forts now and this was our least favorite it did have great views from the top but was not worth the 300 to go through the museum. If you have been to Jaipur, Jodhpur or Hyderabad forts you can afford to give this one a miss and just go for a wander through the alleys... More

The fortress and city in general are a work of art. My girlfriend and I stopped in Jaisalmer for two nights as part of a 3 week tour of Rajasthan. Jaisalmer was by far our favourite city during our stay as it has a much more relaxed atmosphere about the place. The sandstone structures are gorgeous.

Amazing fort - we stayed within it - and a remarkable place. Visually a treat and inside a warren of alleys and plazas with views from the battlements.
