this place is very well preserved by the govt authorities , and the highlight is the muesuem inside the grouns with pictures of siege of 1857 and also letters of rani laxmi bai and tatya tope with their sords etc
A sprawling estate maintained wonderfully. A haven for young lovers ;-). One can spend an entire day here. There is even a museum and a temple inside. A good place for photography too. Wish it was not so crowded though.
You definitely get a feel of what happened here. Beautiful surroundings and peaceful setting and definitely a must see for anyone interested in British occupation in India.
An interesting and somewhat sad place as one reads the epitaphs on the gravestones of and memorials to those who fell during the uprising. Here you will sense the pain & agony of British families. In the same time, you can feel anger , protest of Indian Sipahis . The place is well maintained by ASI. Only thing is people should be sensible enough by not writting their lover's names on wall. Pls express your love in other ways.
