“In the middle of a tourist resort there is a place of horror”

I did not visit or emprisonned there but one hears terrible stories of this pison where the law of the stongest rules, which is more than over crowded, which is totaly corrupt, where there was a recent revolt under everybodies eyes which took days to the autorities to control. There will be a new prison build. Lets hope it will... More

Much nice than that silly book portrays it to be. More freedom than in a western jail, Tennis court, soccerfield, library and a lot of freedom for inmates

“A prison is a prison.... avoid getting close to it”

You see some white walls and can hear and read lots of horror stories about it. With so many beautiful places to visit in Bali, this would be definitely not on the list to go to!

We went to see the prison as we had heard you can have a tour around the prison, as expected when we arrived we were told we can only look at the walls outside the prison. Not worth going to look at.
