Paid US$170 for Elephant safari tickets, went to security for bag check. Unfortunately I have a large deep handbag. Security guard, wearing gloves, searched my bag, angled away from me, for over a minute and at one stage I noticed some cash pop into view. We went the second week of May with myself, husband, 18 month old daughter and my parents. Plenty to do, thrill and enjoy here all day, with activities scheduled all day so come early and plan on spending the whole day. You won't be disappointed, with animal shows, safari tour by bus, photos with the animals, and the not to be missed extravaganza of a show describing the history of Balia "balan ugong" (or something like that!)... beautiful friendly and helpful staff. The elephant ride was great with more great staff, great for the kids, a good time all round. There are package deals, we got the one with the elephant ride, hat and framed photo with animal of our choice.
