I was a little sceptical about going on a cooking class, but I was wrong. Best thing we did - and when we go back to Ubud, we'd definately do this again. Absolutely amazing day!! While the format is probably similar to other classes, what sets this one apart is the atmosphere, the friendly, relaxed, warm welcome and the ability... More

Puspa and Wayan make this course such fun with their sense of humour and interesting antedotes about culture and life in a Balinese home. This is far more than just a cookery course, from the moment you step into the market, then to the rice paddies to learn first hand about the fields and the interaction between the villagers, their... We were met at our hotel and dropped off at Ubud market, where the day started. Tour of the market, then back in the car and a tour of a rice paddy. We then were welcomed at the home of Puspa and her husband, who gave us a informative insight into the traditions of Balinese culture and Hinduism, Once the... More

To cook in the family's home makes this cooking class very special. The lady of the house makes sure that everyone gets enough practice in making all the dishes. In the morning we had a tour in the local market, which was also very nice. also, the price is very reasonable. Maybe one negative point: the group was rather big,... More

Puspa and her husband deserve all the success and praise they receive through these reviews. I am happy to write a review as I would 100% recommend this Ubud cooking class to anyone considering taking a class from the many available. The food is the best I tasted in Bali, and now we know how to make it! I went... More

I would do it again! The couple were so welcoming and lovely. They explained their home and then we went down to the kitchen and started cooking. There was at least 7 dishes prepared and everyone got to help out all the time. We were kept very busy and then when dinner was served it was fantastic meeting people and... More

I have been to Bali now 14 times and this is by by far the best thing I have done. Highly recommend to anyone that has been to Bali before or first time. Excellent value for money and beautiful hosts. Also located in very pristine location and get the experience to enjoy Balinese cooking in a real Balinese home.

i took this course on the recommendation of friends, and realize that the morning class probably fits better with some people's schedules but if possible, try the evening session. you get a pickup from ubud lodging, a quick paddy tour and then an invite into puspa's home. she and her husband not only introduce you to popular balinese recipes, but... What a fantastic experience for our family group of seven. Market tour was wonderful and then to learn from Wayan the balance of the rice fields. Puspa is the star of the day with her wonderful cooking staff. We learnt so much and the hands on cooking was such fun. The meal at the end of our class was amazing.... More
