Commonly known as Pura Mangkunegara. Entrance fee is IDR18,000. They provide you with a guide, most of whom are very eloquent and knowledgeable in the palace's history. At the end, you should pay around IDR20,000-30,000 for their service. Note: the fact that the Prince and his family still live there adds to the majesty of the palace.

A touch of the old days during the ruling emperor. But we can also get to see the lifestyle of their Royals these days

This palace is build in early 18th century and combines european and genuine javanese architecture. It claims to have the biggest pendopo (made with all wood and no nails) in Java. There is not many artifacts in it as many lies in Kraton Surakarta, but the royal family still live here, so the sense of soul stil prevails. They provide... More

Watch gamelan music and dance every Wednesday 10am-12noon here. The atmosphere is calming and the weather remains cool under the shelter of the large pendopo structure.

We strongly recomend to visit the place with the local tourist guides, that can show you all the treasuries that this palace still keeps.
