Negombo beach is golden beach located in western coast. Most of the tourists stay at Negombo after arrival or just before departure. This area is very popular for both tourism and fisheries industry.

It's such a wonderful place but become a heavan for stray dogs, cows & garbage. Lot of locals comes to this place but not organised. Very dirty but a nice place & should maintain well.

Giod for watching the catamarans with their sails up heading back to the harbor. Also great place for watching locals play cricket.

the best and waters are still full of life even though a recent oil spill has left oil in the sand when youre walking amoung some parts of the beach.

Dirty beach full of rubbish. Can't swim as strong current. I know this is not anyone's fault but overall as a beach that isn't good

The place is being developed as tourist resort because is very close from Colombo airport, but the beach is not so nice and not very clean... There are much better places in Sri Lanka
