What an amazing experience! From the first email, where we discussed possible itineraries to the last day, where we all met together and revisited our amazing trip I couldn’t of asked for a better Safari company, than Mlimani Safaris Africa as well as an incredible tour guides Nicholas and Ombenny. We had an advantage because we were dealing with a tour guide who knows Tanzania very well and loved to speak about his country. Not only was Nicholas’ English incredible but he also spoke Spanish fluently (I think he said he is fluent in 5 languages!!!). I spent a few hours conversing in Spanish with our tour guide Nicholas and I was so impressed with his language skills. Mlimani’s owner, Baba Nikos, had tons of great ideas for us to plan our trip. We ended up scheduling a 9 day safari through all of the big parks in Tanzania. We visited Mount Meru, Taranguire, Lake Eyasi, Karatu, Serengeti, Lake Manyara and back to Arusha. I would not do it any differently, and I can’t wait to go back and visit! Mlimani Safari Africa was a small company but that did not detract from the experience. In fact, I would say it felt more personal and we felt extremely catered to. Both tour guides offered to take pictures anytime we. And upon anything cool. I was so pleased with our two guides, they were so knowledgeable and Nicholas taught us so much about the flora and fauna of Tanzania. What wonderful hosts they were! Every day after our Safari, we would revisit our plans, they would ask how we where feeling and where very willing to accommodate any changes we wanted to our plans. If any of my friends ever ask me for a recommendation, I will know doubt, share Mlimani Safaris Africa. If you are looking for an education, friendly tour guide, and a real glimpse into Tanzania (or anywhere in Africa), I suggest you book with Mlimani Safaris. I can’t wait to go back, thank you for the fond memories.

This was an amazing trip! Mlimani Safaris offered more than we could have dreamed of.
They worked with us to design a trip that ensured we had the best experience on all fronts: viewing wildlife, cultural exchange, amazing guides and accommodations, schedules that allowed for activities and down time, there wasn't a detail they missed.
Our itinerary took us through Tarangire, Lake Eyasi, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. We were able to experience so much it's hard to describe. Our trip included seeing the "big five" and the migration of huge herds of gnu, zebras, and literally millions of animals. We were also able to spend time with local tribes and learn about their lifestyles.
Our guides, Nicolas and Ombeni, were approachable, amazingly professional and knowledgeable; and so kind that we really felt like we were parting with good friends by the end of our trip.
Mlimani arranged amazing places for us to stay - so many magical views, refreshing pools, comfortable rooms, and great food!
The schedule was easy, but always engaging - we saw so much without feeling rushed or pressured.
As mentioned in other reviews, the fact that we were able to work with a company that is owned and operated by locals was a huge win. We benefitted from their knowledge and expertise while supporting the local economy and industry! Win-win!
This truly was an amazing experience and so, so much is due to the hard work, planning, and professionalism that Mlimani Safaris provided for us. Thank you so much! We can't wait to return.

Within less than 5 months of deciding to plan a Tanzanian safari adventure and quit just talking about it, Mlimani's team of Tanzanian experts helped our group of friends create and experience an incredible and affordable custom safari. Overall coordinating 11 nights of lodging and 12 days of activities, airport transfer, transportation and other logistics that fit our varying schedules for arrival and departure. The planning process was smooth and enjoyable, Emmanuel offered many options for routes, lodges, and activities for us to consider, but also provided wise recommendations of when and where to go, and where to stay.
The execution of the plan was even more brilliant and exceeded my expectations. Although quite some time ago, having gone on a Tanzanian safari in 2005 I expected I might not be equally amazed and pleased again and I was just sharing the experience with my wife and friends. I was very wrong, it blew my mind and I had so much fun.
We had a great time with our hosts and guides in Arusha and on the safari route to Tarangire, Lake Eyasi, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara. Each park is special, but the expanse and wonder of the Serengeti was perhaps my favorite. Emmanuel, the company founder and owner and his lovely wife Theddy coordinated the trip based in Arusha, and Nicholas and Ombeni our awesome guides really took care of us and treated us as friends and family as we made our through the highlights of the Northern Circuit. We learned so much about the people, places, and saw so many beautiful plants and animals all while having fun and enjoying life at our own pace, polepole (slowly) is sometimes the best way to go!
Every lodge and camp we stayed in gave us a warm welcome and each had a unique and special setting. I will say a soothing face towel, warm smile, and a hibiscus cocktail are a delicious way to arrive after a sometimes dusty and bumpy ride aka an African massage per Nicholas. It was clear that the relationship Mlimani has with these businesses is excellent in how easy check in and check out was, and how we seemed to all have the best rooms/tents/huts of each location.
Words do not do justice to beauty and wonder of Tanzania and all of its inhabitants, humans and otherwise. You have to see if for yourself. If you are thinking about going on an East African you must consult with Mlimani abd Emmanuel, and don't be afraid to tell them what you would like to do and see! They have the best service, many years of experience, they are Tanzanian owned, and not to mention their prices are way less than most other operators. I cannot wait to go back to see some of the other amazing parks in Tanzania.

Mlimani Safaris gave me, my husband, and our 4 friends the best experience we could have asked for. They were great in the planning phase, offering suggestions on how long to stay in certain places, which lodges to stay in, etc... Something that I feel is important and offered a unique experience is Mlimani is 100% Tanzania owned and operated, so you know you are supporting the local tourism industry when choosing them.
Our guide Nicolas was very experienced and provided in-depth information on the areas and animals the entire trip. After talking to a few other guests at the lodges, getting a guide that provides this additional info isn't always the case. Nicholas was also great at listening to our needs and going with the flow of the day. There were a few days when we just wanted to enjoy the pool at the lodge and not spend all day touring around, he was totally flexible and always came up with a good daily plan that fit our needs.
As far as animals and parks - everything was perfect. We saw the "big 5" and so much more!! We were never rushing around to catch the next big thing like I felt some safari vehicles were doing. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and two local tribes.
Mlimani suggested we go in late May, which ended up being a perfect time to go. We loved that the lodges were not as crowded as in peak season but we still saw all of the animals. Thank you so much Mlimani for making our trip of a lifetime just that much more special!!

We are Luis and Patricia. We went on a Safari trip with MLIMANI in December of 2022 and had an amazing experience, 100% recommended.
We booked everything through his website and direct chat with Emmanuel. Everything was super easy.
Our trip (9 days / 8 nights) Safari:
- Sinya / Kambi ya tembo
- Tarangire
- Central Serengeti (Seronera)
- Ndutu
- Ngorongoro
Nicolas was our guide and driver for 9 days and made us have a wonderful trip. Not only because of his wide experience and knowledge of Tanzania Parks and animals ( he knew the best places to find animals and shared with us great information about them) but also because of his kindness, always trying to fit the schedule to our desires. The hotels we stayed in were amazing, and we had great meals in most of them.
Emmanuel and Nicolas, thank you for your organization, and for sure we will come back as soon as possible.
If someone is looking for a private Safari in northern Tanzania with MLIMANI you are in good hands, and if you are looking for an amazing driver/guide Nicolas is your guy.

We had 8 wonderful Days in Tanzania all organized by Emmanuel and Mlimani Safaris Africa. Everything was so very very well planned and Emmanuel have from day one been so care to make sure we would have the best trip and experience. We have visited Arusha Park, Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater. We´ve seen a lots of animals and our guide, Nicholas, have guided and taken care of us in a marvellous way. If You would like to know more about the Culture and the African Life they also can arrange tours in the village. Our guide was very good to axplain the normal Life of the local people and made the trips between the parks very interesting by sharing infromation about what we passed by on the way. We can warmly recommend Mlimani Safaris to You who want´s to spend some Amazing and unforgettable Days on a Safari-tour in Tanzania!

Professional tour guide, nice preparations on food, vehicle, accommodation and all needed logistics. With a guide having more than 30 years in the industry we managed to see all that was there to be seen on all areas we visited.

We had a very nice experience trip organized by Emmanuel and Led through with Benedict. So much knowledge of the serengeti park and Ngorongoro, he made sure we saw all the Big 5 animals and the trip was worth it and so much nice stories. We will surely re visit again.

We had a wonderful trip, organized by Emanuel, and led by Benedict. They picked us up from the airport and everything worked seamlessly. The places we stayed in - hotels, lodges, tents - were all spectacular.
We started off in Arusha, then headed to Lake Manyara where we got to know Benedict and see zebras, elephants, monkeys etc. Benedict was super knowledgable and had a great demeanor. Next we drove up over the Rift Valley crest and to the Serengeti. With a limited amount of days, we were able to see everything - lions, cheetahs, hippos, crocs, hyenas, giraffes - and they were everywhere! Later, in the crater, we saw rhinos and flamingos and so many beautiful scenes. Benedict respected our space and made it easy to trust him. He knew everything, and spotted many animals we couldn’t see. He is considered by us to be the Best Guide on Earth. The food was also A+.
Emmanuel helped us navigate the COVID test situation as well. I should note - there is some question as to whether it’s moral to go to a country like Tanzania during a pandemic. The locals who I told this to were heartbroken to hear this - they are really suffering, struggling to find food without tourists. We were both vaccinated. In a country where millions of people depend on tourist money, the message is clear - go there now, they want you to come! Just my experience; I’m no expert in anything.
Loved this tour.

Wonderful. Can't say enough good about this trek. Hiking in the Kilimanjaro followed by a really "pole pole" experience (it was ery good for us), well, it just doesn't get any better than this.
I can't add anything to the superlatives already expressed but I will add some thoughts about planning.
It's worth to read and follow their recommendations on how to dress. Good sturdy trekking shoes/boots are a must. Quides helped us with everythings. Food was very good and gave us a lot of strength.
I can't say enough good about this trek and company. One or our BEST memories ever.
Highly Recommended
Great job to conquered Kilimanjaro with Mlimani :) mlimanisafarisafrica.com :)
Świetne, ale bardzo trudne wejście na Kilimanjaro. Polecamy z całego serca. Company bardzo dobra, wszystko zgodnie z planem :)) Dziękujemy i pozdrawiamy !!
