Instead of going to pattaya beach go to this beach,it is clean and more enjoyable as all the locals go there and there no bar girls to be seen or tourists .the area is fantastic as there are many food stalls and have a great choice to choose from.

Loads of refuse along the beach washed in from boats. Food vendors expensive

Bang Saen beach is huge, and is packed with revellers especially during Songkran, had a blast getting soaked during their water festival but remember to bring coins because the toilets aint free.....

weekends very crowded by locals ; good for street food likers but for me to smokey and smelly enviroment especiall dinner time

unattractive dark and gloomy beach with very little to commend it - apart form the rather nice evening sea walk which could take you for miles and miles.Bang Saen is rather provincial and odd with the occasional quaint feature. Terrible beach though - and a big risk swimming in the sea i would imagine.

Clean, not crowded, lots of room. Not a lot of shops but small vendors. You will not get bothered every two minutes for a message.

this sleepy little university town has great charactor but it was dirty and the sand was a bit muddy so not nice to walk out to the water.

We went to Bang Saen Beach twice in Jan'07; the first time (on a wkend) I must admit I didn't particularly like it as I was used to beaches such as those on Koh Samet or in Krabi - clear water & soft sand.
